THE OLD APPLIANCE EXIT PLAN
Out with the old. Carefully.
An appliance is more than an awkward rectangle. Weight, utility connections and refrigerants can change the removal plan. Start with clear photos and the make or type of each item.
Call to discuss the job, or send an enquiry. The crew must confirm scope, coverage and availability before a pickup is booked.
Tell us which machine is leaving.
List appliances individually, even if several are in the same room. Working condition can affect available options, but it does not establish that a recycler or donation partner will accept the item.
- Washers, dryers, ranges and dishwashers for scope review.
- Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers need refrigerant-route confirmation.
- Built-in units, stacked units and water heaters need separate access and connection review.
Disconnected is different from switched off.
Plumbing, gas and hardwired electrical work are not part of an ordinary hauling quote. Arrange any required disconnection with the appropriate qualified trade before removal. Tell us if hoses, fuel lines, drains or mounting brackets remain connected. We do not promise installation of the replacement.
Refrigerants need a proper route.
Refrigerators, freezers and other cooling equipment require an appropriate receiving and recovery process. Do not cut refrigerant lines or attempt to vent the unit. We review the appliance and destination before confirming acceptance.
A few details make the quote better.
Photograph the unit, its connections and the complete carry route. Empty food, water and loose contents where you can do so safely. Include stairs, exterior steps, door widths and parking distance. Disclose leaks, pest issues or other contamination before a visit.
- Brand/type and approximate dimensions.
- Floor and number of stairs.
- Whether the unit is freestanding or built in.
- Connection status and any known handling problem.
Fair questions.
Can you take a refrigerator that still works?
Ask about the exact unit and condition. Retailer take-back, utility programs and reuse routes may have their own eligibility rules; we do not guarantee any particular program or rebate.
Will you disconnect a gas range?
Gas disconnection is outside our ordinary hauling scope. Have a qualified professional handle it and confirm the unit is ready before pickup.
Are appliance fees the same as furniture fees?
Not necessarily. Weight, access, special handling and receiving charges can differ. Each appliance belongs on the item list.
Can you take a leaking appliance?
Describe the leak before scheduling. Unknown liquids or contamination may need a specialist rather than a routine pickup.
