TEMPLETON, MASSACHUSETTSTWO GOOD FRIENDS. ONE VERY GOOD TRUCK.

THE ITEM-BY-ITEM GUIDE

Some stuff is straightforward. Some stuff needs a conversation.

Use this guide to build a useful item list. Acceptance depends on condition, safe handling, truck capacity and a suitable receiving route confirmed for your job.

Ordinary household items to discuss.

Photograph the complete group and describe where it is. An ordinary item can still need extra planning if it is exceptionally heavy, damaged or difficult to access.

  • Couches, chairs, tables, dressers and bed frames.
  • Desks, bookcases and freestanding shelves.
  • Boxed household clutter with contents identified.
  • Patio furniture and small household fixtures already disconnected.

Items that always need a specific check.

List these individually instead of hiding them in a mixed pile. Their receiving rules, weight or treatment needs can change the route and price.

  • Mattresses and box springs, including size and condition.
  • Appliances, especially refrigerant-containing equipment.
  • Electronics, televisions, tires and batteries.
  • Construction debris, stone, concrete, soil and other dense loads.
  • Pianos, safes and unusually heavy exercise equipment.

Outside ordinary junk removal.

We do not take unknown chemicals or hazardous material through the standard service. Remediation, identification of suspect material and emergency cleanup require the appropriate specialist.

  • Asbestos or material suspected to contain it.
  • Paint, solvents, fuel, unknown liquids and chemical containers.
  • Medical sharps, biological waste and contaminated material.
  • Explosives, ammunition and pressurized cylinders.
  • Material from unsafe structures, sewage or active pest conditions.

A route for each material.

Massachusetts has waste-disposal restrictions covering materials such as mattresses, appliances, electronics with cathode-ray tubes and certain construction materials. “We can lift it” is not the same as “it can go in this load.” We check the receiving route before confirming acceptance.

Four details to add to your request.

Give us the item, quantity, condition and access. If you are unsure what something is, say so and photograph its label without disturbing it. We will not ask you to open, mix or test an unknown substance to get a quote.

Fair questions.

Do you take everything?

No. Material, condition, handling and destination requirements determine whether a job fits. This guide separates ordinary requests from items needing review and excluded material.

Can I add something when you arrive?

Ask before loading. The crew must review the added item, capacity, receiving route and any price change with you.

Do you recycle or donate everything?

No percentage or universal outcome is promised. Reuse and recycling depend on condition and a receiving organization’s confirmed acceptance.

Does bagging it make it ordinary trash?

No. Describe the contents. Packaging does not change a material’s hazards, weight or disposal requirements.
