MAKE ROOM FOR THE CAR AGAIN
Your garage has other plans.
There might be a workbench in there. Maybe even room for a car. A garage cleanout turns a mixed collection into a clear keep-and-remove plan, one section at a time.
Call to discuss the job, or send an enquiry. The crew must confirm scope, coverage and availability before a pickup is booked.
Start with zones, not a rushed pile.
Choose an area for keeps, an area for items you are still deciding about and an area approved for removal. Mark shelves or containers that must stay. We work from the agreed scope; being near the removal pile does not make something junk.
- Check tool cases, drawers and storage bins for valuables.
- Identify family keepsakes, documents and small machine parts.
- List the items you want removed from shelves versus the shelves themselves.
Show the whole garage.
Take a wide photo from the entrance, then one of each wall or distinct pile. Include the driveway and any obstacle between the garage and the loading spot. Estimate whether items are loose, boxed or stacked high. This helps us plan labor and a loading sequence instead of guessing from one close-up.
Workshop leftovers need their own review.
Paint, fuel, solvents, propane cylinders and unknown chemicals are outside the ordinary cleanout. Tires, batteries, electronics and dense building debris also need specific acceptance checks. Keep those items identified and separate; do not empty containers or mix materials to make a pile look simpler.
Agree what “finished” looks like.
The quote should name the areas and items being cleared, whether freestanding shelving is included, and how much access you want restored. Deep cleaning, repairs, demolition and ongoing organization are separate services. At the end, walk the agreed areas with the crew and check that your keep zones are intact.
Fair questions.
Do I need to empty the garage first?
No. Start with photos and a clearly marked keep area. We will agree on any preparation after reviewing the layout.
Can you clear only half the garage?
Yes, request a defined section or item list. A clear boundary is useful when the garage still contains working tools or storage you need.
Can old paint and lawnmower fuel go with the load?
No. They need an appropriate separate route. Tell us about liquids, fuel-powered equipment and chemicals before the quote.
Will you take down built-in cabinets?
Do not assume removal includes demolition or disconnection. Photograph anything attached to the building for a separate scope discussion.
