THE WINTER ROUTE, PLANNED PROPERLY
Your driveway deserves a winter plan.
We are developing a local Templeton snow route. Start by mapping the driveway, parking and snow-storage space so a future service agreement can fit the property.
Winter route planning. Equipment, coverage, scope and service terms must be confirmed before bookings open.
A driveway is more than its length.
Width, slope, surface and turning space affect the equipment and method a property needs. Share photos from the road and the garage, plus any tight area. Gravel, steep slopes, damaged pavement and low walls need to be identified before the first snow covers them.
- Approximate length and width.
- Paved or gravel surface, slope and known damaged edges.
- Vehicles, garages, gates and turnaround space.
- Where snow may be stored without blocking access or drainage.
Define a visit before defining a price.
A useful agreement states the trigger for service, how snowfall is measured, which surfaces are included and the planned response window. It should also distinguish a single visit from repeat passes during a long storm. These terms are not interchangeable.
The town-plow pile is a separate question.
A road plow can leave a new berm after a driveway visit. Discuss whether a return visit is included, separately requested or outside the plan. The same applies to moving accumulated piles when storage space runs out.
A close route is the starting point.
A property must fit the actual winter route and confirmed equipment capability before service can be agreed. This page helps prepare that assessment; it does not reserve a storm visit. Walkways and ice treatment are separately scoped needs.
Fair questions.
Are you taking snow contracts now?
Snow service is being planned. Equipment capability, winter coverage, route capacity and agreement terms must be confirmed before any contract or service date is offered.
Is there a guaranteed arrival time?
No response window has been offered yet. Any future window, storm priority and repeat-visit terms must be stated in the agreed plan.
Does driveway clearing include the front steps?
Only when the walkways, steps or landings are explicitly included. Photograph each area you need cleared.
Does snow clearing make the driveway ice-free?
No. Ice treatment is a separate scope, and changing weather can create new slippery conditions.
